Apple iPhone 7 & iPhone 7 Plus to Feature OIS Assisted Rear Camera
Apple has been surrounded by numerous rumors about the upcoming iPhones called as the Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. The earlier leaks suggest that the smartphones are supposed to feature a refreshed design with the placement of antenna bands on top and bottom of the handsets and will also skip the 3.5 mm audio port. Apart from this, the smartphones are said to offer various upgrades in all the departments when compared to earlier iPhones.
The camera department is one such area where you can find the major upgrades. The iPhone 7 Plus is said to sport dual rear camera setup while the iPhone 7 will come with a regular primary camera. Initially, the reports stated that only the iPhone 7 Plus will offer the OIS (Optical Image Stabilization), but Nomura Securities analyst Chris Chang expects both the next-generation iPhones to offer OIS. In fact, the iPhone 7 will be the first 4.7-inch device from the company to offer OIS in camera.
Currently, the OIS feature is offered by only the iPhone 6 Plus & iPhone 6s Plus, and if the recent information about the inclusion of OIS feature comes true the upcoming devices are rated to deliver high quality photos and videos even in low-lighting conditions. Nomura Securities also stated that Sony, which was initially contracted to make the camera modules of the iPhone 7 series will be unable to fulfill the demand in the said time. Now, LG Innotek is in the race to make most of the Apple’s initial camera modules for the iPhone 7.
Apple is known to offer high quality camera’s in its smartphones, and the iPhone 7 series will be no less in that department. Just like earlier devices, the company is eyeing for a September release of the iPhone 7 & iPhone 7 Plus. Stay tuned for more updates in coming days!
