• YU Yureka Note – Rs. 13,499

YU Televentures has launched a new smartphone Yureka Note in the Indian market. It comes with a model number YU6000 and is available through the offline stores for a price of Rs. 14,999. The design of the device looks similar to the YU Yuphoria but comes in larger 6-inch form factor and also includes a fingerprint sensor on the rear. It features a 6-inch Full HD resolution display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Under the hood is an octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz.

There is 3GB of RAM and 16GB of built-in storage along with a MicroSD card slot. In the camera department, the device features a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and an 8MP selfie camera on the front. The device is kept powered on by a 4,000mAh battery that can easily last more than a day of mixed usage. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop and is available only in black color. Last year the device was rumored to be launched alongside the company’s flagship YU Yutopia.

• Micromax Canvas 6 & Canvas 6 PRO – Rs. 13,999

Micromax came up with a  new logo and announced a total of 15 smartphones. The Canvas 6 and Canvas 6 Pro are the two devices that are available in the market. Both the Canvas 6 and Canvas 6 Pro comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display and Gorilla Glass protection. While the Canvas 6 comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, the Canvas 6 Pro is equipped with 4GB of RAM but is limited to just 16GB of storage. Both the devices include MicroSD card slot for storage expansion.

The devices are powered by Helio X10 octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz. Both the devices come with a 13MP rear camera with PDAF and f/2.0 aperture. On the front, the Canvas 6 has an 8MP sensor while the 6 Pro is limited to just 5MP front camera. The devices run on Android 5.1 Lollipop and includes a lot of bloatware apps. They are backed by a 3,000mAh battery which we expect them to last for more than a day of usage. It has dual SIM dual standby with 4G LTE and other basic connectivity options.

Lenovo Phab – Rs. 11,999

After launching the Lenovo Phab Plus last year, Lenovo had brought the Phab Plus to the Indian market. Both Phab and Phab Plus are first showcased at IFA 2015. It comes with a 6.98-inch IPS display with just HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based Vibe UI and comes with dual SIM support. It is powered by 64-bit Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz. There is 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage on this device.

It sports a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP selfie camera on the front for selfies. The device is backed by a 4,250mAh non-removable battery which claimed to deliver 24 hours of talk time and lasts up to 20 hours on standby. It includes stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos technology for a rich audio experience. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. It measures 186 x 97 x 8.9 mm and weighs 250 grams.

Panasonic Eluga I3 – Rs. 9,290

Panasonic had officially launched the Eluga I3 as the successor for the Eluga I2. The device comes with polycarbonate with a textured finish on the back. It supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G LTE along with VoLTE support. The Eluga I3 will be available in Rose Gold, Champagne Gold, and Marine Blue colors. It sports a 5.5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display and includes 2GB of RAM and 16GB of built-in storage with a MicroSD card slot.

Under the hood, the Eluga I3 is powered by an unknown quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. It runs on the in-house FitHome UI based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. Much like other devices at this price range, this device comes with a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera. The Eluga I3 is kept powered on by a 2,700mAh battery. The connectivity options on this device include 4G LTE with VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port.

Swipe Elite Note – Rs. 7,999

Swipe is one of those Indian manufacturers who are launching devices with aggressive pricing. The latest smartphone from the brand is Elite Note. Earlier the company had launched Swipe Elite and Elite 2 smartphone in the Indian market. The latest Elite Note comes with a 2.5D 5.5-inch HD display and is protection with the Dragontrail laid on top. It is powered by the MediaTek MT6735 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz.

It has 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded additionally upto another 32GB. The device sports a 13MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash, and a 5MP front camera with wide-angle lens. The 3,000mAh battery on this device is rated to deliver 14 hours of talk time. It supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G LTE along with other basic connectivity features. It measures 154 x 77.1 x 8.4 and weighs around 194 grams.

• LG K7 LTE – Rs. 9,500 & LG K10 LTE – Rs. 13,500

After unveiling the all new K-series at the CES 2016, LG has launched K7 LTE and K10 LTE smartphones in India this week. The company also announced that these are first devices to be manufactured under ‘Make in India’ initiative. Apart from the excellent build quality, the device features entry-level specifications which make them unmatched with any other device at their respective price ranges. The LG K7 LTE is priced at Rs. 9,500 while the K10 LTE costs you around Rs. 13,500.

Both the devices come with 2.5D glass laid on top of the display. The LG K7 LTE is powered by Snapdragon 210 SoC coupled with 1.5GB RAM and 8GB storage. On the other hand, the K10 LTE is backed by a Snapdragon 410 SoC along with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage. The K7 LTE has a 5MP camera on front and back, and the K10 LTE comes with 13MP rear camera and 5MP front camera. The devices run on Android 5.1 Lollipop and support dual SIM with 4G LTE and VoLTE.

Panasonic Eluga Arc – Rs. 12,490

Unlike Eluga I3, the Panasonic Eluga Arc comes with few added features and slightly higher price tag. The device supports 4G LTE and VoLTE and comes enabled with “Android for Work” which makes the Eluga Arc useful for accessing secure information. It sports a smaller 4.7-inch 2.5 HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display. It is powered by Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz and coupled with Adreno 306 GPU and 2GB of RAM.

It has 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded upto 32GB via provided MicroSD card slot. The device lacks enough power in the camera department, where it comes with an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. It is powered by a 1,800mAh battery that is mentioned to support Quick Charge 1.0. The device run on Android 5.1 Lollipop and features a fingerprint sensor on the rear. Connectivity options include 4G LTE with VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and MicroUSB port.
