Xiaomi Mi Max with 6.44″ Display & 4,000mAh Battery Listed on TENAA
Xiaomi will be launching their upcoming phablet Mi Max on May 10th in China. We already got the glimpse of the device design and specifications with the recent leaks. Now with the TENAA listing, we can confirm most of them. Unlike the earlier leaked image, the device doesn’t include a physical home button. It comes with an all metal body with sporting a huge 6.44-inch display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution.
It comes in two variants with 2GB and 3GB RAM options with 16GB and 32GB of internal storages respectively. Under the hood is the Snapdragon 650 hexa-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz and coupled with Adreno 510 GPU. There is also a MicroSD card slot for further expanding the storage. It runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow based latest MIUI 8 out-of-the-box. The device is backed by a 4,000mAh non-removable battery.
The fingerprint sensor can be found the rear of the device unlike the Mi 5 where it was embedded into the physical home button. It sports a 16MP rear camera with dual tone LED flash and a 5MP selfie camera on the front. The Mi Max comes with almost similar specifications as the Redmi Note 3. The base variant of the Mi Max with 2GB RAM is expected to be priced at 1299 Yuan while the Redmi Note 3 with same specifications is priced at just 899 Yuan.
The Mi Band 2 with a small display and a rounded physical button is also expected to launch alongside the Mi Max on May 10th. But yesterday, the company had confirmed that the launch of Mi band 2 is delayed for at least a month due to the production issues.While the Mi Max runs on MIUI 8 out-of-the-box, it might also be publicly released at least for the recently launched devices like Mi 5 and Redmi Note 3.
