Meizu Pro 6 with Exynos 8890 Octa-Core SoC Leaked Online
In 2016, Meizu had launched three new devices Meizu M3, M3 Note and Pro 6. While the M3 and M3 Note are launched with affordable price tags, the Pro 6 is the company’s flagship device for 2016. A couple of months back, few rumors suggested the Pro 6 to launch with Exynos 8890 chipset, but later the device was launched with Helio X25 deca-core processor which is an enhanced variant of Helio X20.
At the time of launch, Meizu also announced that the Helio X25 was exclusively made for Pro 6, but few other devices like LeEco Le 2 Pro were also launched with the same chipset. Now the latest leaked screenshot hints that the company is working on Exynos 8890 SoC powered Meizu Pro 6. It is the same processor that was also used in the Samsung Galaxy S7 & Galaxy S7 Edge.
Last year’s Meizu Pro 5 was powered by Exynos 7420 chipset that was used in Samsung Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge+, and Galaxy Note 5. The leaked screenshot confirms the device to run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based Flyme OS. While the Helio X25 powered device launched in two variants with 4GB and 6GB RAM, the Exynos 8890 backed Pro 6 comes with just 4GB of RAM.
Rest of the specifications are expected to be same on this device. The earlier launched Pro 6 came with 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD resolution and 3D Touch support. The device includes a 21.16MP rear camera with PDAF, laser autofocus, and ring-shaped flash with 10 LEDs. For selfies, it includes 5MP front-facing camera that can record videos in 1080p resolution.
It is backed by a 2,560mAh battery that can be charged from 0% to 100% in just 60 minutes. The USB 3.1 Type-C port on Pro 6 offers faster data transfer speeds and supports fast charging. As of now there is no official information about the launch of Exynos powered Pro 6. Stay tuned for more updates!
