OPPO R9 FC Barcelona Edition in Red Color Leaked in Press Renders
OPPO has been teasing the launch of the OPPO R9 FC Barcelona Edition smartphone from a couple of days on Weibo. The company also mentioned the device to come in exclusive color along with specially customized UI and ringtones. The Limited Edition device will be signed by FCB players and is mentioned to come with affordable price tag. But today we got the first look of the device, thanks to the leaked press renders.
The OPPO R9 comes in Barcelona Red color that matches the club’s jersey. Last year, the company had launched the OPPO R7 Plus FC Barcelona Edition, which came with a small engraved FCB logo on the back with additional goodies like FC Barcelona leather case, VOOC power bank, selfie stick, and a water bottle. The Players signed limited edition R7 Plus were sold through a charity auction on eBay.
Now the limited edition OPPO R9 comes with an all metal body painted in Barcelona Red color with golden logo engraved on the rear bottom of the device. Even the OPPO’s logo on the rear is also in Gold color matching the FCB logo. Apart from the change in external looks and user interface, the design and specifications remain same. The physical home button on the front comes integrated with a fingerprint sensor.
It sports a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution, and Gorilla Glass protection makes the display scratch resistant. Under the hood, the device is powered by Helio P10 octa-core processor along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The dual SIM with 4G LTE support and MicroSD card slot remains same as on normal OPPO R9.
Coming to the camera department, it has a 13MP primary camera and a whopping 16MP front camera. It is backed by a 2,750mAh non-removable battery that supports VOOC flash charging. While the original OPPO R9 with similar specifications is priced at 2,799 Yuan and there is no information about the R9 FC Barcelona Edition device. Since the same device was launched as OPPO F1 Plus in India, we also expect the company to launch it in here as well.
Stay tuned for official details!
