Vernee Apollo to Feature Enhanced Helio X25 SoC and 6GB RAM
Vernee is the Chine based smartphone brand that had recently entered the smartphone market by launching the affordable Vernee Thor priced at just $99. The company also announced two other smartphones Vernee Apollo and Apollo Lite. The Apollo comes with flagship specifications and is priced at $400. The device comes with high-end specifications and can be a good alternative for any other flagship launched in 2016.
Earlier Vernee had announced the device with Helio X20 deca-core processor, but now the company confirmed that the device will pack Helio X25 SoC, an enhanced variant of Helio X20 processor. The Meizu Pro 6 and LeEco Le 2 Pro are two other smartphones which also use the same Helio X25 SoC. Apart from the change in processor, other specifications remain same.
It comes with a 5.5-inch 3D Touch display with Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution. The device packs a whopping 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage that can be expanded additionally upto another 128GB via MicroSD card slot. The Vivo XPlay 5, LeEco Le Max 2, ZUK Z2 Pro are other devices to offers 6GB of RAM. The Apollo runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box
In the camera department, it sports a 21MP rear camera with dual tone LED flash and an 8MP selfie camera on the front. There is also a fingerprint sensor placed on the rear of the device. While the Vernee Thor is already available in the market, the Apollo will be launching in July. The Apollo Lite will be using the same Helio X20 processor and includes 4GB RAM.
While the Apollo is expected to be priced at $400, the Apollo Lite will cost only $200. It will be officially launched sometime in the month of June. Stay tuned for more updates!
