ZUK R1 with 4.7″ Display & 3GB RAM Spotted on GFXbench
Last month, ZUK had unveiled its latest smartphone ZUK Z2 Pro in China as the successor for 2015 launched ZUK Z1. While in India, today the company launched the year old ZUK Z1 at a price of Rs. 13,499. Unlike the ZUK Z1, which came with mid-range specifications, the ZUK Z2 Pro packs the flagship specification including Snapdragon 820 processor and 6GB RAM.
Now a new device from ZUK is spotted on GFXbench with a smaller display and mid-range specifications. The device named “ZUK R1” sports a 4.7-inch display with HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution. Under the hood, it is powered by MediaTek MT6755 (Helio P10) octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz and coupled with Mali-T860 GPU. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box.
The ZUK R1 packs 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. There is no information about the presence of MicroSD card slot. In the camera department, it features a 13MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash and an 8MP selfie camera on the front. As seen with the earlier launched ZUK devices, it might also sport USB Type-C port. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS.
As of now there is no official information about the launch of a new smartphone from ZUK and we also expect it to be made exclusive for its home country. Talking about the ZUK Z2 Pro, it sports a 5.2-inch Full HD display and is protected by Gorilla Glass 3. The device is powered by Snapdragon 820 processor and coupled with 4GB/6GB RAM and 64GB/128/GB of internal storage.
It features a 13MP rear camera with PDAF and CAF dual focus, and an 8MP front camera with wide-angle lens. The device is kept powered on by a 3,100mAh battery along with Quick Charge 3.0 support. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with ZUI 2.0 laid on top. The ZUK Z2 Pro with 6GB RAM is priced at 2699 Yuan and pricing for the 4GB RAM variant is still not announced.
