Android Nougat update for Samsung Galaxy S6 spotted on GFXBench

After the reports of developing Android 7.0 Nougat for Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, now the update has been confirmed for Galaxy S6 by GFXBench. Recently we haves the South Korean giant rolling the beta version of Android Nougat to Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge we will see the same on Galaxy S6. Samsung Galaxy S6 device was spotted on GFXBench database running on Android 7.0, and we can expect this update to be rolled out to S6 after this year model receives the OTA update.
Earlier: The South Korean giant has rolled out the first beta release of Android 7.0 Nougat for its flagship devices Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge a week ago and now it is reported that Samsung is planning to push the Nougat update to the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge Smartphones which are a year old. This report is based on SamMobile who have indicated that development of Nougat for Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge is underway.
The firmware for these S6 devices carries a built number XXS5DPK7 which will be changed when the final firmware will get rolled out. Nothing is mentioned by the company yet, and we cannot expect these devices to get updates by the end of the year 2017 since even this year flagships are yet to receive it. As we already that updates are very much important to improve the performance of the devices and bring a lot of new features.
Nothing is mentioned if Samsung is planning to update it’s 2015 flagship devices with Android Nougat, but there might be many users sitting with their fingers crossed in a hope to receive it. We have already seen the Nougat update on the Pixel handsets from Google and also on LG V20. Since the S7 and S7 Edge have already received the Beta, we might see the official roll out very soon.
Earlier we have seen Samsung Galaxy Note 7 launching in Blue Coral and Gold Platinum, Silver Titanium and Black Onyx color options. The Note 7 production has stopped after the serial battery explosions and Samsung has offered refund or exchange for all its units. The user can either opt for a Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge smartphone on the exchange on the Note 7.
The S7 Edge comes with 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display with QHD (2540 x 1440 pixels) resolution and curved edges on both sides. Under the hood there us a Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor with a clocking speed of 2.3GHz and coupled with 4GB RAM and Adreno 530 GPU. There is also another variant with Exynos 8890 octa-core processor. The device comes with an onboard memory of 32GB that can be further expanded up to 256GB via MicroSD card slot.
