OnePlus has launched its latest smartphone OnePlus 3T today, but the device was already listed on the official website revealing everything except the price. As reported earlier, the OnePlus 3‘s successor is confirmed to be named as OnePlus 3T and sports similar design as its predecessor. This new device will be available in Gunmetal and Soft Gold color options. It comes with an Aluminum built unibody design with a slight curve on the rear. Under the hood, it comes powered by the Snapdragon 821 quad-core processor clocked at 2.35GHz. It will be replacing the 2.15GHz Snapdragon 820 processor and offers 10% better performance.
On the front is the same 5.5-inch Optic AMOLED display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution and Gorilla Glass 4 protection. It comes with the same 6GB LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB of internal storage combination as seen on OnePlus 3. However, the new OnePlus 3T will be also available with 128GB storage with only Gunmetal color option. As seen with the earlier OnePlus devices, there is no MicroSD card slot for storage expansion. In the camera department, there is a 16MP IMX298 sensor on the back with OIS, EIS, PDAF and f/2.0 aperture. It can record 4K and slo-mo videos at 30fps and 120fps respectively. The protruding rear camera on the OnePlus 3T is protected with the sapphire glass lens.

For selfies, there is a 16MP Samsung 3P8SP sensor with the same f/2.0 aperture and PDAF. For comparison, the OnePlus 3 came with an 8MP sensor with fixed focus. However, the video recording is only limited to 1080p at 30fps. It still runs on Android Marshmallow based Oxygen OS, but we guess this new device to received the latest Android Nougat update in December along with earlier launched OnePlus 3. The device is backed by a 3,400mAh non-removable battery with DashCharge (5V/4A) support. It supports dual SIM dual standby and offers VoLTE out of the box. The power button is placed on the right edge of the device while the volume rocker and alert slider can be found on the left edge of the device.
It measures 152.7 x 74.7 x 7.35 mm and weighs 158 grams. Connectivity options include Cat.6 4G, VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, GLONASS, NFC, and USB Type-C 2.0 port. There is also a fingerprint sensor integrated into the physical home button on the front. The device is priced at $439 for 64GB storage variant and $479 for 128GB storage variant. While the 64GB storage variant will be available in both Gunmetal and Soft Gold colors, the 128GB storage variant is only limited to Gunmetal color. The device will be available from November 22nd in the U.S and Canada and from November 28th in European and Asian markets.
As seen with the OnePlus 3, the Soft Gold color variant will not be available on the launch day. The Chinese and Indian pricing of the device are yet to be announced. However, the device will be officially launched in China on November 29th while the India launch date is yet to be announced. The company has already announced OnePlus 3T pop-up events in London and Finland’s capital city Helsinki on November 24th and 22nd respectively. The users can attend the pop-up event for hands-on experience and will be the first persons to own a OnePlus 3T smartphone.
Update: We have got in touch with our contacts at the OnePlus India team and have received a positive sign from them that the OP3T will be certainly launched in India but there’s no date mentioned yet. There’s a Reddit AMA hosted by Carl Pei who is the Co-founder, Head of Global at OnePlus on 22nd November which is probably when we might be hearing more officially on this. India is one of the biggest Smartphone markets for the brand and they might consider launching the phone but aren’t ready to confirm it yet. You can meanwhile refer to the Global Oneplus 3t pricing in order to know how much the phone costs all over the world.
