Meizu M3X Smartphone with Helio P20 SoC & 3GB RAM Spotted on Geekbench

The Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Meizu has already launched quite a few smartphone in 2016. Until last year, the company has not launched more than half a dozen smartphones in any given year. But in 2016, we have already seen more than a dozen smartphone launches from Meizu and few more devices are expected to launch in the next few weeks. Now, a new device called as Meizu M3X is listed on the benchmarking website, Geekbench. While the Meizu M3 series smartphones are launched in the first half of 2016, recently the company also launched the Meizu M5. On December 6th, the company will be launching Meizu M5 Note smartphones.
As of now, there is not much information available about this device. The listing revealed the device to run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box. It might come with the latest Flyme 6 OS that will be released tomorrow in China. Under the hood, the Meizu M3X comes powered by the recently launched MediaTek Helio P20 (MT6757) octa-core processor clocked at 1.64GHz and coupled with Mali T880 MP2 GPU. Compared to Helio P10; this new chipset is said to offer 20% higher performance along with 25% better power efficiency. It is built on 16nm architecture and supports Cat.6 LTE offering 300Mbps download speeds and 50Mbps upload speeds.
The device also packs 3GB of RAM while we also expect the company to bring another variant with 2GB RAM as well. While the 3GB RAM variant will come with 32GB of internal storage, the another variant will be limited to just 16GB of storage. However, there will be MicroSD card slot for further expansion of storage on the device. It has scored 851 on single core test and 3868 on the multi-core test. As of now, there are is no information when the device will be made official. Tomorrow, the company is expected to launch Meizu X smartphone along with Flyme 6 OS in China. Few rumors also hint the company to come with first ever tablet and new fitness band.
On the December 6th event, we will see the launch of affordable Meizu M5 Note and M5 Note Metal smartphones. The Meizu M3X might be unveiled at anyone of these events. Meizu also announced that they had sold more than 20 million Meizu M3 Note devices globally. In April this year, Meizu has launched the M3 Note smartphone in India for just Rs. 9,999. It is sold exclusively on Amazon India and came in Grey, Gold, and Silver color options. The device sports an all metal body with an mBack home button on the front featuring fingerprint sensor. It sports a 2.5D 5.5-inch Full HD display and 64-bit Helio P10 octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz.
The Indian variant came with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The device sports a 13MP rear camera with PDAF and f/2.2 aperture. For selfies, there is a 5MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS with the highly customized Flyme 5.1 OS on top. The 4,100mAh non-removable battery on the M3 Note is said to give two days of normal usage.
