The Dutch company, Philips has launched its latest smartphone called Xenium X818 in Russia. It comes with a metal frame and sports decent specifications. Though it lacks any gimmicky features to make it stand out from rest of the Android powered smartphones, the Xenium X818 does sports some useful features. This new device comes with antimicrobial coating along with oleophobic coating. The SoftBlue technology reduces the blue light from the display without the affecting the quality. Even the earlier launched Philips smartphones also used the similar technology. The Xenium X818 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with a customized UI laid on top.

Talking about the specifications of the device, it sports a 5.5-inch IPS display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution and is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The device is powered by MediaTek’s Helio P10 octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz coupled with Mali T860 MP2 GPU. The company claims the device to give 11 hours of talk time and lasts upto 456 hours on standby mode. It is also equipped with power saving mode and Philip’s X power technology that can give 10% additional battery life.

The device supports dual SIM dual standby with the help of hybrid SIM slot where the user can opt either for a secondary SIM or a MicroSD.
