It is the successor to Eluga Mark that was launched last year. The new device comes with an Aluminum built metal body with a slight curve on the rear. Commenting on the launch, Pankaj Rana, Business Head of Panasonic Mobiles India said,
“After receiving a tremendous response for our Eluga Mark device, we are delighted to launch Eluga Mark 2 with full metal body design & fingerprint sensor. A perfect blend of innovation, style & security, the new Eluga Mark 2 is made with 5.5”HD IPS screen with 2.5D curved Asahi Dragon Trail glass in the front which gives a tough look and makes it scratch resistance for consumers. The 3000 mAh li-Polymer battery makes sure that your phone is safe & gets excessively long battery life. Also, super-fast charging is an added advantage of Eluga Mark 2.”
Talking about the specifications of the device, it comes with a 5.5-inch IPS display with HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution. It is protected by a 2.5D Dragontrail glass laid on top. The Eluga Mark 2 is powered by MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. It includes 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage that can be further expanded upto 128GB via MicroSD card slot. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the customized UI laid on top. On the rear, we can also find the circular fingerprint sensor which makes the device a bit more secure.
Coming to the camera department, the Eluga Mark 2 offers a 13MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, 5P lens, and autofocus. For selfies, there is a 5MP front camera with f/2.4 aperture and 88-degree wide angle lens. It is backed by a 3,000mAh non-removable battery with fast charging support. The device measures 151 x 76 x 7.7 mm. As of now, the device is only available in Gold color.
