We have seen some interesting smartphones like Mi MIX or the bendable Lenovo CPlus from Chinese manufacturers. Even little known Chinese manufacturers like Oukitel, UMI, and Vernee have launched smartphones with the crazy specifications. The Oukitel K10000 is one of those smartphones which is packed with a massive 10,000mAh battery. Now a new smartphone called YAAO 6000 Plus is launched in China with a whopping 10,900mAh removable battery. Recent leaks from China revealed a new Gionee smartphone called M2017 packing dual rear cameras, Quad HD display, and a 7,000mAh battery.
Unlike the Gionee M2017, the YAAO 6000 Plus sports basic specifications. It comes with a premium looking rugged design making the device waterproof, dustproof, and shockproof. The device has a high-quality plastic body with a metal frame. It sports a 5.5-inch display with HD (1280 x 720 pixels). Under the hood is the 64-bit MediaTek MT6735 quad-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz. There is just 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage on this device. However, the user can further expand the storage adding a MicroSD. In the camera department, there is a 13MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP selfie camera on the front.
In the camera department, there is a 13MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP selfie camera on the front. With its rugged design, the YAAO 6000 Plus measures 18.1mm thick. The device runs on Alibaba’s YunOS based on Android. It supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G LTE for faster data speeds. While almost all the Chinese manufacturers are offering fingerprint sensor irrespective of device price, somehow this YAAO 6000 Plus lacks it. Connectivity options include 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. With such a huge battery, the device might come with fast charging support, but there is nothing mentioned in the listing.
It is expected to be priced at 1199 Yuan and will go on sale starting from December 5th. The device will be available in Gold and Silver options. In India, we have the Gionee Marathon M5 with a battery capacity of 6,020mAh. Unlike the YAAO 6000 Plus, the Marathon M5 came with non-removable dual battery technology. It comes with dual 3,010mAh batteries and can be used as a power bank as it supports reverse charging. It is priced at Rs.17,999 and was launched almost a year back. Now, the company even came with its successor Gionee M6 Plus sporting the same 6,020mAh battery. However, the availability of the new M6 Plus is only limited to China.
