Bluboo Dual Smartphone Launched with Dual Rear Cameras & 3000mAh Battery

In 2016, we have seen quite a few smartphone manufacturers launching smartphones with dual rear cameras. While all the high-end smartphones from Huawei featured dual camera setup, the iPhone 7 Plus also came with the same dual rear cameras. The Galaxy S8 and S8 Edge smartphones which will be launched in early 2017 are also rumored to come with dual cameras on the rear. Now, a little Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Bluboo launched its first ever dual camera smartphone called Bluboo Dual. The device comes with a unibody metal design with rounded corners.
The Bluboo Dual sports a 2.5D 5.5-inch In-cell display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution and is protected by Gorilla Glass 4. It is powered by MediaTek MT6737 quad-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz and coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage. There is a MicroSD card slot on this device where the user can expand additionally upto 256GB. It supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G LTE connectivity. The display of this device can be controlled with wet hands and also supports gestures like three-finger swipe for capturing screenshots.
It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box with a customized UI laid on top. Talking about the USP of the device, it sports a 13MP and 2MP dual cameras on the rear. According to the company, the primary 13MP Sony sensor with f/2.0 aperture captures the image while the 2MP sensor will be used for calculating depth in the image. There is also an 8MP sensor with the wide-angle lens on the front for capturing selfies and video calls. It is backed by a 3,000mAh non-removable battery that gives at least a day of usage.
Connectivity options include 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, OTG, and MicroUSB 2.0 port. On the back of the device is a fingerprint sensor that can unlock the device in just 0.1 seconds. It measures 151 x 76.3 x 8 mm and weighs 153 grams. The device will be available in Black, Gold, and Rose Gold color options. As of now, the device is priced at $150 and is available to pre-order. Recently, the company also announced to launch Bluboo Edge smartphone with edge display as seen on Galaxy S7 Edge.
It is said to come with 5.5-inch HD display along with MediaTek MT6737 processor. This is the same processor which also powers Bluboo Dual. The Bluboo Edge include 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, and a MicroSD card slot. It has 13MP IMX219 sensor on the rear and an 8MP front camera on the front. Unlike the Bluboo Dual, the Edge sports physical home button that comes integrated with a fingerprint sensor. It supports dual SIM and includes basic connectivity features as on Bluboo Dual.
