Meizu X Smartphone with the Latest Flyme 6 OS Launched in China

Meizu is rumored to launch a bunch of devices at it launch event held today in China. But, the company came with only two smartphones – Meizu X and Meizu Pro 6 Plus. While the affordable Meizu M5 Note and M5 Note metal will be launched on December 6th. While the Meizu X is the completely new device, the Pro 6 Plus is the successor to the recently launched Pro 6S. Meizu’s in-house Flyme OS is said to have more than 50 million users globally. In the first half of 2016, the company released the Flyme 5 OS which is now upgraded to Flyme 6. The new interface in the Flyme 6 OS uses new color schemes. The animations in the UI are said to be optimized to work without consuming much power. A total of 200 animations

By using the advanced algorithm, the new OS also improves security features. The mobile payments are integrated into the UI for a better experience. The company also collaborate with another Chinese company called Sogou for improving the speech recognition technology. The Flyme 6 will be available for almost all the latest Meizu smartphones.
Talking about the Meizu X, it is the first smartphone in the new X series from Meizu. The device comes with a glossy body with a metal frame around it. The 2.5D 5.5-inch In-cell display on the front comes with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution and a pixel density of 403 ppi. Under the hood is the new 2.3GHz MediaTek Helio P20 octa-core processor with eight Cortex A53 cores. This processor is manufactured using TSMC’s 16nm FinFET process. The Meizu X will be available in two variants with 3GB and 4GB of RAM. With the use of LPDDR4X RAM, the device is said to consume 17% less power when compared to LPDDR4 RAM.
While the 3GB RAM variant includes 32GB of internal storage, the 4GB RAM variant features doubled 64GB of storage. On the front of the device is the mBack home button with embedded fingerprint sensor. It can be used for authenticating AliPay and WeChat mobile payment. In the camera department, there is a 12MP sony IMX386 rear camera sensor with PDAF, 6P lens, F/2.0 aperture, and dual tone LED flash.
