Karbonn Aura Note Play with 6″ Display & 8MP Camera Launched for Rs. 7,590

In the last few weeks, we have seen a couple of phablet launches in India. Xiaomi came up with the Mi Max 2 sporting a large 6.44-inch display and is priced at Rs. 16,999. On the other hand, Sony launched the camera-centric Xperia XA1 Ultra with a 6-inch display and 23MP rear camera for Rs. 29,990. Today, the low-cost smartphone maker Karbonn launched a new phablet called Aura Note Play with a 6-inch display and entry-level specifications. It runs on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. The device comes with a thick black bezel all around the display and features a plastic back cover.

The 6-inch display on the front offers just HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution. There is 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage that can be further expandable via a MicroSD card slot. It is powered by an unspecified quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. Last year, Lenovo also launched the Phab series devices with above 6-inch display and HD resolution. It supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G VoLTE for using with the Jio 4G SIM. Beneath the display are the three capacitive navigation buttons for multi tasking, home, and back (from left to right).

In the camera department, there is an 8MP rear camera with dual LED flash and a 5MP front camera for selfies and video calls. Just the below the rear camera is the fingerprint sensor. With all these specifications, the device is backed by a 3,300mAh battery that might give at least a single day of usage. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0,USB OTG, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. The Aura Note Play measures 161.3 x 84.9 x 8.6 mm and weighs 214 grams. It will be available in Black and Champagne Gold color options.
