LG Q6 with 5.5″ FullVision Display & SD435 SoC to Launch in India on August 10th

Last month, LG launched the LG Q6+, Q6, and Q6a smartphones under the new Q-series. With the new Q-series, the company will be offering the FullVision display with 18:9 aspect ratio in the budget segment. Today, LG India has posted a new image on social media teasing the launch of LG Q6 smartphone in the Indian market. The device will go on sale starting on August 10th and is available exclusively through Amazon India. It is also confirmed to be priced less than Rs. 20,000. The device comes in Astro Black, Ice Platinum, and Terra Gold color options. LG also partnered with Jio 4G to offers 50GB of additional 4G data with the every purchase of LG Q6.
The company will also offer screen replacement and Rs. 3,200 worth of games for free. LG introduced the 18:9 FullVision display with the LG G6 launched at the MWC 2017. Now, the LG Q6 also comes with the same FullVision display but offers only Full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) resolution. It comes with an Aluminium frame, but the back is made of plastic. The volume rocker, MicroSD card slot and Dual SIM card slot are placed on the left edge, and power button alone sits on the right edge. It is also got the MIL-STD 810G military certification.
The device runs on the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box with the LG UX 6.0 UI on top. Under the hood is the 64-bit Snapdragon 435 octa-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz and comes coupled with Adreno 505 GPU and 3GB of RAM. There is 32GB of onboard storage that can be further expanded using the dedicated MicroSD card slot. In terms of optics, there is a 13MP camera on the rear with LED flash and a 5MP selfie camera on the front with 100-degree wide-angle lens. It measures 142.5 x 69.3 x 8.1 mm and weighs 149 grams.
The device is backed by a 3,000mAh non-removable battery that should easily give a day long battery life. It supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G VoLTE connectivity. While the LG Q6 misses the fingerprint sensor, it includes the face unlock and knock code to make the device secure. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port.
