LG V30 Smartphone To Feature The Next-Generation plastic OLED FullVision display

You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.

LG V30 has been all over the news for the past couple of days, mainly due to the fact that we are so close to the launch and the leaks have not stopped coming. Now, we have yet another info about the device, LG itself has confirmed through their official Newsroom. Earlier today, LG has announced that its next major smartphone will feature its new next-generation FullVision POLED displays. Well, yes, they haven’t officially announced that the LG V30 will carry it, but considering the fact that it is an upcoming flagship from the company, it is a no brainer.

In the same press release, LG also mentioned that the display will measure 6-inches and will have a QHD resolution as well. Although the display size is marginally bigger, it looks like the overall body will be comparatively smaller than the LG V20, thanks to the slim bezels. We have been seeing the trend of trimming down the bezels and making the body smaller day-by-day and this one seems no exception. To be precise, LG mentions that they have shrunk the top bezels by 20-percent and the bottom bezels by 50-percent with this new device, in comparison to the last years’ V20.

Now talking about this plastic OLED material or ‘POLED’ as few might refer to it, the company said that the use of this material allowed them to curve the edges to make the device more manageable in hand. The plastic OLED display will also be quite durable, however, LG has further added more strength to it by adding Gorilla Glass 5 on top of it. All these extras should really make the device, that much more premium.
