New Honor Tablet With 7″ Display & 4000mAh Battery Listed On TENAA
You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.
In the first half of 2017, Honor launched two variants of the Play Pad 2 tablet alongside the Honor 6A smartphone and the Honor Band A2. It comes in 8-inch and 9.6-inch screen sizes and is available only in China. Now, a new Honor tablet is spotted on the Chinese certification site TENAA. It comes with the model number BG2-U01 and sports basic specifications. According to the listing, it will be available only in Gold and Gray color options. The tablet runs on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box with the customized EMUI laid on top.
This new tablet comes with a 7-inch display offering 1024 x 600 pixels resolution. Under the hood is the unspecified quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. It packs 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. There is also a MicroSD card slot for storage expansion up to 128GB. In the camera department, there is a 2MP sensor on the front and back of the tablet without LED flash. Though the tablet packs entry-level specifications, it supports cellular connectivity and has a SIM card slot. The power button and volume rocker are placed on the right edge of the device.
The BG2-U01 tablet is backed by a 4,000mAh battery that should offer decent battery life. Considering the tablets are used for media consumption, the larger battery capacities should be the basic requirement. It measures 187.6 x 103.7 x 8.6 mm and weighs 275 grams. As seen with the earlier Honor tablets, this new tablet also comes with on-screen navigation buttons. From the images, we can see the Honor branding on the front and back of the device. While the MicroUSB 2.0 port sits on the bottom, the 3.5mm audio jack is on the top edge.
Since the tablet is already listed on TENAA, the official launch can be expected in the next few weeks. The earlier launched Honor Play Pad 2 came in both Wi-Fi only and 4G + Wi-Fi variants. Both the 8-inch and 9.6-inch variants offer 1280 x 800 pixels resolution. They are powered by Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor and are available in 2GB and 3GB RAM variants. Both the tablets offer a 5MP rear camera, 2MP selfie camera, and a 4,800mAh battery. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details the upcoming Honor tablet.
