Asus Relaunches Zenfone Max with Upgraded Processor, RAM, & Storage in India
In January 2016 this year, ASUS launched the 5000mAh backed Zenfone Max for Rs. 9,999. Today the company launched the upgraded variant with a couple of improved specifications. The design of the device remains same with textured finished back cover and the iconic concentric circle design on the bottom front. It comes with 5.5-inch IPS display with HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution. It feels thick in hand by measuring 10.55mm thickness and weighs almost 202 grams.
The Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor is now replaced with octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor clocked at 1.5GHz. It comes in two variants with 2GB/3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. There is also a MicroSD card slot for further expansion of storage. The USP of the device is its 5,000mAh battery that can easily last more than a day even with heavy usage. While the earlier launched variant came with Android 5.1 Lollipop, now the latest launched Zenfone Max runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with highly customized Zen UI laid on top.
On the camera front, there is a 13MP rear camera with laser autofocus and an aperture of f/2.0. For selfie lovers, the device packs a 5MP front with the same f/2.0 aperture. It supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G LTE for faster internet speeds. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS, and MicroUSB 2.0 port. With the massive 5,000mAh battery, the Zenfone Max can be used to charge other smartphones.
