Coolpad Max with Snapdragon 615 SoC & 4GB RAM Launched in India

Coolpad officially launched its flagship smartphone Coolpad Max today in India. This is the same device that was launched first in China in November last year. A couple of days back, the Coolpad Max along with Coolpad Max Lite were made official in Indonesia. The device sports metal build unibody design with rounded corners. It still runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based CoolUI 8.0 laid on top.

It features a 5.5-inch liquid crystal display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution and is protected by a 2.5D Gorilla Glass 4. While the variant launched in Indonesia is powered by latest Snapdragon 617 processor, but in India the device was launched with Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz. It includes 4GB of RAM and comes with 64GB of internal storage that can be further expanded via MicroSD card slot.

The device packs a 13MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, 6P lens, and PDAF for fast focusing. On the front, it has a 5MP sensor that supports gestures for capturing images. It is backed by a 2,800mAh battery that can give 17 hours of talk time and lasts upto 310 hours on standby. The Coolpad Max supports Quick Charge 3.0 with the provided 9V/2A power adapter with which the device can be charged from 0% to 65% in just 30 minutes.

Overall the device weighs just 7.6 mm thickness and weighs almost 170 grams. On the software side, the company is bringing Dual Space feature where the user can separate personal and professional life. It means, now we can have two WhatsApp, Facebook, BBM and other accounts on the same devices. And also the device is fully encrypted making the contacts, photos, videos and other data fully secured.

It supports dual SIM dual standby and offers connectivity options like 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and USB Type-C port. The device comes in two color options – Gold and Rose Gold. It is priced at Rs. 24,999 and can be purchased exclusively from Amazon India.
