Intex Aqua Secure with USB Type-C Port & Fingerprint Sensor Launched at Rs. 6,499
The second largest Indian smartphone manufacturer, Intex has launched the Aqua Secure smartphone. It is the most affordable device to offer fingerprint sensor at a priced of Rs. 6,499. The Coolpad Note 3 Lite is the previous best which costs slightly on a higher side at Rs. 6,999. Apart from the fingerprint sensor, the Aqua Secure comes with very basic specifications and making the Coolpad Note 3 Lite a better choice.
Speaking about the newly launched Aqua Secure, Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, Mobile Business Head, Intex Technologies, said,
“4G connectivity, big screens, high definition displays and powerful RAMs are the current trends. Intex brings this 4G enabled device with advanced security feature like finger print sensor and VOLTE. Aqua Secure will provide our consumers with an advanced technology experience at a very competitive price.”
It sports a 4.5-inch FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) IPS display and is powered by 64-bit MediTek MT6735M quad-core processor clocked at 1GHz. While the Coolpad Note 3 Lite features 3GB of RAM, the Aqua Secure settles for just 1GB. It has 8GB of internal storage that can be expanded additionally upto 32GB via MicroSD card slot. The device comes with dual SIM card slots but only one SIM can support 4G LTE with VoLTE.
On the camera front, it sports a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP selfie camera on the front. It is backed by a 1,900mAh battery which may not last more than a day of usage. Even with a smaller 4.5-inch display, the device looks pretty big with the thick bezels around all the four sides. Interestingly the device comes with a USB Type-C port which not many Indian manufacturers have given a try. The device will be available in Gold and Grey colors
It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop, and we can’t expect the device to be updated to the Marshmallow. The Aqua Secure measures 133.5 x 66.5 x 9.4 mm and weighs 130 grams. Connectivity options on this device are Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS along with 4G LTE and USB Type-C port. The device with Opera Max pre-installed for saving the data consumption. It also offers 21 Indian regional languages support with the built-in Matrabhasha service.
