Huawei MediaPad M2 7.0 to launch in Europe as MediaPad T2 Pro 7.0
Earlier this month, Huawei unveiled the MediaPad M2 7.0 tablet along with G9 Lite smartphone in China. Now, it looks like the brand is keen to bring the mid-range tablet to European markets but will be launched with a different name and will be called as Huawei MediaPad T2 Pro 7.0. The tablet has similar specifications and design like the MediaPad M2 7.0 and will be available for sale in the country soon.
The dual sim dual standby supported tablet features a 7-inch (1920×1200 pixels) full-HD IPS display with 323ppi as pixel density and pack 64-bit Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz clubbed with Adreno 405 GPU. It has 2GB/3GB of RAM, 16GB/32GB of built-in storage and can be further expanded to 128GB via microSD card slot. It runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop based EMUI 4.1 overlaid, and there is no information about the Android Marshmallow update.
It includes standard connectivity options like 4G-LTE, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.1 and microUSB 2.0 port with OTG support. On the camera section, the tablet comes equipped with a 13MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash and a 5MP front snapper for video chats and selfie clicks. The tablet also comes with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for enhanced security. The device comes backed by a 4360mAh battery that the company claims can easily take you a couple of days of mixed usage.
The dimensions of the tablet measure 187.4 x 105.8 x 8.2 mm and weighs around 250 grams. As of now, the pricing and availability details of the upcoming tablet are unknown but is likely to arrive in White, Gold, Pink and Blue color variants. The MediaPad M2 7.0 is priced between 200 to 250 Euros in China, and we can expect the European variant, i.e., the MediaPad T2 7.0 Pro to cost around 300 Euros. Stay tuned for complete details!
