Samsung Galaxy C5 with Snapdragon 617 SoC & 4GB RAM Passes Through TENAA
Samsung has introduced the Galaxy A, Galaxy E, Galaxy J, Galaxy On series in the last couple of years and now in 2016 the company is rumored to introduce the all new Galaxy C series smartphones. Earlier this week, the company also teased about the launch of new devices on May 26th which we expect to be the Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7. Today the Galaxy C5 with the model number SM-C5000 was spotted on TENAA revealing the identity and the specification details of the device.
The device looks same as seen in the earlier leaked images. It comes with an all metal body and a physical home button featuring a fingerprint sensor on the front. The volume rocker is on the left edge while the power button is on the opposite side. The rear of the device looks similar to the HTC 10 but misses the laser autofocus. It features a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution. Under the hood is the Snapdragon 617 octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz.
It has 4GB of RAM and comes in 32GB and 64GB storage variants. With the provided MicroSD card slot, the storage can be expanded additionally upto 128GB. On the camera front, the Galaxy C5 packs a 16MP primary sensor with dual LED flash and an 8MP selfie shooter on the front. The device runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out-of-the-box with the customized TouchWiz UI laid on top. It is a dual SIM device and supports 4G LTE along with VoLTE.
The device is backed by a 2,600mAh battery that might come with Quick Charge 2.0 support for fast charging. It measures just 6.7 mm thickness making it one of the slimmest devices from Samsung and also weighs around 153 grams. Along with Galaxy C5, the Galaxy C7 with a slightly bigger screen will be also launched on the same day. As of now there is no word about the details of Galaxy C7, but we expect it to be listed on TENAA in the next couple of days. Stay tuned for more updates!
