HTC 10, One A9 and One M9 Confirmed for Android N Update
HTC, the Taiwanese manufacturer has jumped the bandwagon of the early stage Android N, as company took to their Twitter account to announce that their smartphones, HTC 10, One A9 and One M9 would be getting the major software update. Of course, there is no time frame revelation as Google didn’t made the final version of the Android available, which was expected to be announced at the Google I/O 2016 Keynote happened yesterday.
Currently only the beta version of the Android N available to the compatible devices, which includes Nexus 6, Nexus 9, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus Player, Nexus C and General Mobile Android One 4G. This time around company introduced the first Developer Preview even before the I/O, which is company’s developer conference. This year company teased a lot of new products announcements, such as Google Home and Daydream platform for Android VR, while it was also the center stage for apps introductions such as Allo, Duo and new Firebase App for Development.
This year the Mountain View giant is hosting the ongoing I/O event at Amphitheatre, it is the conference’s 10th year, so that’s why it was special to the company. And we thought, Google has finally showcased us something its developers have wanting for years. If the Developers gets what they want, you can expect a better user experience for the consumers.
Talking further about the Android N, company noted that there are more than 250 new features and improvements done on the latest build of the Android N. And Yes, company hasn’t revealed the name yet as it hasn’t decided on. Dave Burke told the audience that it has been the hardest task for them. So, this year they want its users suggestions on this. For that company has created a website where anyone can submit their entry.
During every fall, Google announces their new Nexus smartphones for the year and this year we are hoping there would be new Nexus smartphones as well. And with HTC confirming that their three devices would be getting this major update is good news for its fans. We hope that Google releases final build just in time for a smartphone to work on their customized interfaces and so that they can make it available to their users as soon as possible.
