Smartron tphone with 4GB RAM, Snapdragon 810 Launched by Sachin Tendulkar

Smartron, a Hyderabad-based smart devices manufacturer, has announced their first smartphone called tphone. It is powered by the tron ecosystem, which was unveiled last month at New Delhi announcement event, where Sachin Tendulkar also launched the company’s first hybrid tablet named tbook. While the hybrid tablet would be competing with the likes of premium devices such as Microsoft Surface Pro 4 and Apple iPad Pro, the company’s first smartphone is all set to go on a fight with smartphones in the country.

Sachin Tendulkar was present at the launch event hosted in Hyderabad. The iconic cricketing personality is himself an investor in the company and counts this as its second journey after cricket, as he is invested to see India grow in terms of technological advancement. Smartron, will not only be releasing the smartphones and tablets, but would be going beyond that to pursue IOT (Internet of Things) goals in the coming months. The brand has also showcased its interests in setting up manufacturing units in the country under “Make in India” initiative.

The tphone comes with a 5.5-inch 1080p resolution display. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset with support of 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage. There would be a support for unlimited cloud storage. It has a 13-megapixel image sensor on the rear while a 5MP front facing module. All this is powered by a 3000mAh capacity battery. The device sports a USB Type-C, instead of the usual microUSB 2.0 port. It would be available in four colors, Orange, Grey, Blue and Black.

Company is touting it has the premium flagship phone that could easily take on the likes of OnePlus 2, Xiaomi Mi 5 and more recently. The device also features unique noise cancellation microphone and of course, the tron ecosystem, which includes various online services like cloud, customer care, etc. With a price tag of Rs 22,999, it can be a revolutionary product.
