Asus has launched the Zenfone 3, Zenfone 3 Ultra, and Zenfone 3 Deluxe smartphones in August in India. All these devices are first unveiled at Computex event in May this year. Later, the company also launched the Zenfone 3 Laser and Zenfone 3 Max in China. Now, the company sent out the media invites for the launch of its new product on November 9th event in New Delhi, India. While the image on the invite resembles with the ZenBook 3 which was already launched in India, few rumors suggests the company might launch the Zenfone 3 max on that day. The Zenfone 3 Max is already on sale in Vietnam for VND 4,490,000 (approx $200 / Rs. 13,400).

Earlier to this, the company has launched the Zenfone Max smartphone in quite a few variants with different processors and storage options. Even with the Zenfone 3 Max, we will see at least a couple of variants. We expect the base variant of the device to be priced around Rs. 12,500. Unlike its predecessor, the Zenfone 3 Max comes with an all metal body and fingerprint sensor. The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based ZenUI 3.0. Along with the several Asus apps, there will also be a lot of bloatware apps. It features a 5.2-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display with a 2.5D glass on top.

Talking about the internals of the device, it comes powered by 64-bit Mediatek MT6737 quad-core processor coupled with Mali T720 GPU. It comes in 2GB and 3GB RAM variants with 16GB and 32GB of internal storage respectively. Asus also offers 100GB of Google Drive storage for free for the first two years. There is also a MicroSD card slot for expanding the storage up to 32GB. In the camera department, the Zenfone 3 Max sports a 13MP rear camera with 5P lens and LED flash. While on the front is a 5MP sensor for capturing selfies. The device supports dual SIM dual standby using the hybrid SIM slot and offers 4G LTE on any one of the two SIMs.

Other connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, A-GPS, and MicroUSB 2.0 port. As seen on the Zenfone Max, the new Zenfone 3 Max also sports a beefy battery. It is backed by a 4,10mAh non-removable battery with reverse charging support. The device also supports fast charging with the help of 5V/2A adapter. With the metal body and a bigger battery, the device measures 8.55 mm thickness and weighs 148 grams. The loudspeaker is placed on the bottom rear of the device. The official listing mentioned the device to be available in Titanium Gray, Glacier Silver, Sand Gold, and Rose Gold color options.
