HTC might make the HTC Bolt (HTC 10 Evo) Smartphone official by the end of this month
The Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer HTC was expected to announce their upcoming smartphone the HTC Bolt aka HTC 10 Evo in the month of October. Well, we didn’t see that happen after all. However, if you are waiting for them to make it official now, then the good news for you is, you might not have to wait for a long time. Yes, it is expected that the company will be making this smartphone official this month i.e. November.
According to the source, it is expected that this upcoming smartphone from HTC should be available to pre-order starting late November. Well, it is expected to be available for pre-orders in Taiwan only initially which is the company’s home country. However, if that is to be believed, an official announcement is imminent, and it will happen before the end of this month. Well, it is not confirmed yet, but the speculations surrounding the smartphone points to something on this line.
With that being said, if you have no idea about this smartphone as to what does it look like or what are the internal hardware components going to be like, well let’s say it is more of a redesigned HTC 10 in a way with few sacrifices. Yes, first of all, you should know that according to the previous reports, this upcoming smartphone from HTC could be called HTC Bolt in the US, where it is expected to be a Sprint Exclusive. In other markets, it will be called the HTC 10 Evo.
And if the previous rumours are to be believed, this smartphone will drop the 3.5mm headphone jack as well just like Apple did with their new iPhones. As far as the specs are concerned, we are looking at a 5.5″ display on the front with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels which makes it a quadHD display. You can also expect the latest SoC from Qualcomm along with a 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. If you are bothered about the storage, then you should know that you can also expand via a microSD card.
The HTC Bolt will also run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box with custom Sense UI on top of it. Well, if the specs sound a little familiar to you, then yes, you are not alone. Not the just the specs, it also has a striking resemblance to design as well here with the HTC 10. The HTC 10 which was launched a couple of months back, also carries similar specs like a QuadHD display, etc. Hence in terms of performance, you can very well expect it to be smooth like just any other flagship in the market. Now with all that info out of the way, we can only expect them to launch this soon. If you are interested in knowing more about this smartphone and its availability, then stay tuned to Phone Radar.
