Twitter Alpha update brings new features like Shortcuts, multi-window & more – Download APK

One of the biggest social media platforms in the world, Twitter also has an Android application. The application is fairly simple and offers just the basic features. It’s been a while since the application received a solid update packed with features. But now a new Alpha update has been announced, and it is now available to download, and yes, it does bring some new features to the table.

To start things off, the application update is not yet available in the play store and hence if you are planning to update it from there; then you will have any luck. The update is available as an alpha download and can be downloaded from a third-party website. Now let’s talk about why would you want to update to this new version. First of all, you will be able to take full advantage of these new features if you are on the latest version i.e. the Nougat or if you are running a third party launcher which can bring you some new features of the same.

Now talking about the new features, this new update brings three new features to the table. The first one being the app shortcuts on the home screen. If you are already aware of the fact that the new Nougat version comes with app shortcuts which are very similar to the option which you get on force touch on iOS. These features were not available with all the app since the developer of the app has to push them manually. And now Twitter comes with this new feature.

Next feature is the multi-window feature. This will help you with more on the productivity side of things and help you get more work done. Nothing fancy here as most of us are already aware of the multi-window feature. And the last new feature is nothing but a rounded icon to go with the new pixel launcher. This is again more of a design change and has nothing to do with the functionality. Well, that’s pretty much what we have with the new update, and if you were you waiting for some radical new change, then you are out of luck here.
