In May this year, ZTE had launched a budget smartphone called ZTE Voyage 4 in China. Today, the company has unveiled an upgraded variant called ZTE Voyage 4S. The Voyage 4 priced at just 799 Yuan came with a metal body and decent entry-level specifications. Now the newly launched Voyage 4S is also priced at 799 Yuan (approx $118 / Rs. 7,900) and comes with the similar design as its predecessor. Though it is a metal body, we can find plastic near the top and bottom rear of the device. The slight curve on the rear edges provides nice grip to hold to the device.

On the front, there is a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution display with a 2.5 D glass laid on top. Under the hood is the MediaTek MT6735P quad-core processor coupled with Mali-T720 GPU & 2GB of RAM. The only difference between both the device is the storage. While the Voyage 4 came with just 8GB of internal storage, the Voyage 4S includes 16GB of storage. There is also a MicroSD card slot for storage expansion. It supports dual SIM dual standby and offers connectivity options like 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and MicroUSB 2.0 port.

The Voyage 4S comes with an 8MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP fixed focus front camera. It is backed by a large 4,000mAh battery that can easily give more than a day of usage. With a such a large battery, the device measures 8.2 mm thickness and weighs 147 grams. It will be available through China Telecom exclusively in China. Yesterday, Samsung and China Telecom jointly launched a premium clamshell smartphone called Samsung W2017. It features dual AMOLED displays, Snapdragon 820 SoC, 4GB of RAM and 12MP dual pixel camera.
