We won’t normally see more number of premium devices launching every month. The global brands like Samsung and LG had announced their flagships in the month of February and now in April, we have seen quite a few launches from the Chinese brands. If you are looking for some high-end devices with premium build quality and top class specifications, then below are the few smartphones that are available in selected markets.
Meixu Pro 6 is the successor to Pro 5 which is the first the device in the new Pro series. The device comes with a metal body, and the antenna bands are placed along the top and bottom edges. As announced earlier, The Pro 6 sports 3D Touch display but the functionality of it is limited to just system apps. It sports a 5.2-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display along with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Under the hood is the Helio X25 deca-core processor clocked at 2.5GHz.
The device includes 4GB of RAM and comes in 32GB and 64GB storage variants. The physical home button on the Pro 6 also houses the fingerprint sensor. Coming to the camera, it sports a 21.1MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and ring-shaped 10-LED flash. The laser autofocus and PDAF helps in faster focusing of the primary camera. On the front is 5MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture. It is backed by a 2,560mAh battery that supports mCharge 3.0. It measures 147.7 x 70.8 x 7.25 mm and weighs 160 grams.
As leaks suggested, Oppo launched the R9 smartphones in India as Oppo F1 Plus. The USP of the device is its cameras, especially front camera. It is the first Oppo smartphone in India to come with a physical home button. It sports a 16MP front-facing camera with an aperture of f/2.0 and 4K recording. The device is priced at Rs. 26,990 and features metal build body with a physical home button. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based latest Color OS 3.0.
It sports a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with Full HD resolution. The device is powered by Helio P10 processor clocked at 2.0GHz. It comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. On the rear, the device includes a 13MP camera with PDAF and f/2.2 aperture. The F1 Plus is backed by a 2,850mAh battery along with patented VOOC flash charging. Connectivity on this device includes 4G+ LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS, and a microUSB 2.0 port.
ZUK is the sub-brand of Lenovo, which had debuted the smartphone market last year with the ZUK Z1. This month, the company had launched its second smartphone ZUK Z2 Pro. The device comes with glass on the front and back with a metal frame around it. It comes in two variants with 4GB and 6GB RAM along with 64GB and 128GB storage respectively. The device runs on latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow with ZUI 2.0 overlaid. It sports a 2.5D 5.2-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display.
Under the hood, the ZUK Z2 Pro is powered by Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor along with Adreno 530 GPU. There is a 13MP rear camera with PDAF, f/1.8 and dual tone LED flash. For the selfies, the device features an 8MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture. The heart rate sensor is placed on the rear of the device while fingerprint sensor can be spotted on the front. It is backed by a 3,100mAh non-removable battery which also supports Quick Charge 3.0.
LeEco launched its latest Superphones Le 2, Le 2 Pro, and Le Max 2 in Beijing, China. The Le Max 2 is the successor for the Le Max that was launched last year. It features a 5.7-inch Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution display with very narrow bezels. The Le Max 2 is powered by the latest Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor along with Adreno 530 GPU. It will be available in two variants with 4GB RAM + 32GB Storage and 6GB RAM + 64GB storage.
It includes 21MP IMX230 sensor with PDAF on the rear and an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies. The device is backed by a 3,100mAh battery with quick charge 3.0. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box with LeEco’s customized eUI 5.5 laid on top. The device supports dual SIM and offers 4G LTE with VoLTE. It lacks the 3.5mm audio port, but the package includes USB Type-C earphones which can be connected to the device.
