Samsung Galaxy Note 6 Rumored to Feature USB Type-C Port & IRIS Scanner

Samsung Galaxy Note 5 - Rear Camera and Heart rate Sensor

Samsung will be launching Galaxy Note 6 as the successor to Galaxy Note 5 in the second half of 2016. There are many rumors and leaks about the device. Even few rumors suggest the device to be powered by the Snapdragon 823 chipset which is the enhanced version of Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor. It is said to feature a 5.8-inch curved display and a 4,000mAh battery. According to Sammobile, the device will feature USB Type-C port but there is no confirmation it’s USB 3.1 or not.

While many smartphone manufacturers are trying out this new technology from 2015, Samsung will join the bandwagon with the launch of Galaxy Note 6. All the Galaxy S and Note Series from 2015 are supporting Gear VR, which comes with regular MicroUSB2.0 port. If the Galaxy Note 6 launches with a USB Type-C port, then it’s also time for the launch of  2nd Gen GearVR with Type-C port. The device will sport IP68 certification making it waterproof and dustproof.

Along with the fingerprint sensor, the Note 6 is also rumored to include IRIS scanner where the device can be unlocked by pointing the front camera towards the users eyes. This year we have seen the launch of world’s first smartphone with a whopping 6GB of RAM and is now followed by few other brands. Samsung also rumored to launch one variant of Galaxy Note 6 with a 6GB of RAM. Since the Android N is set to be made official in the next couple of months, we also guess the Galaxy Note 6 to run on Android N out-of-the-box.

While even more leaks can be expected in the coming days, Stay tuned on @PhoneRadar for further updates!
