LYF Flame 6 with 4″ Display & 4G LTE Support Launched at Rs. 3,999
After launching the Flame 3 and Flame 4 smartphones at Rs. 3,999; Reliance’s smartphone brand LYF launched a new entry-level 4G smartphone called LYF Flame 6 priced same at Rs. 3,999. The device feels bulky in hand by measuring 10.6 mm thickness and also weighs 162 grams even with such a small form factor. It comes with a 4-inch WVGA (800 x 480 pixels) display with 218 ppi and Dragontrail glass protection on top.
The device is powered by an unknown quad-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz along with Mali 400 GPU, we expect it to be MediaTek MT6580 SoC. It has just 512MB of RAM which might not sufficient for true Android experience. There is 4GB of internal storage that can be expanded additionally upto 32GB via MicroSD card slot. The Flame 4 priced same as Flame 6 offers 8GB of onboard storage. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.

In the camera department, the Flame 6 sports a 2MP camera sensor on front and rear. The rear camera is also assisted by an LED flash. It supports dual SIM dual standby but offers 4G connectivity only on the first SIM. The device is backed by a 1,750mAh battery that is rated to give 4.5 hours of talk time and lasts upto 175 hours on standby. Compared to Flame 4 and Flame 3, the battery on Flame 6 offers slightly higher capacity battery.
Connectivity options include 4G LTE, VoLTE, VoWiFi, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. It also supports ten regional Indian languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Bengali, Kannada and others. The Flame 3 with a 5MP primary camera is a better choice than Flame 6, since rest of the specifications remains same on both the devices. The Flame 6 can be purchased from any of the Reliance Digital stores across the country.
Along with the every LYF smartphone, Reliance is also offering a JIO SIM that offers 4,500 minutes of local calls and 4G data for free for the next three months. While earlier the user needs to get an invite from an employee to get the JIO SIM, but from today, the company is offering it for every LYF smartphone purchase without any requirement.
