Vivo X7 & X7 Plus with 16MP Selfie Camera to Launch on June 30th
Vivo has been recently teasing about a new smartphone called Vivo X7 smartphone. Now the company confirmed the launch of Vivo X7 along with X7 Plus on June 30th in China. These devices will be the successors for Vivo X6 and X6 Plus that are launched last year exclusively in China. Just like the X6 and X6 Plus, the upcoming X7 and X7 Plus comes with an all metal body with a 2.5D glass on the front. The fingerprint sensor is moved from rear to the front and is embedded into the physical home button.
Both the devices come with a 16MP selfie camera on the front and will compete against the likes of OPPO R9 and R9 Plus, which also sports the same 16MP front camera. The OPPO R9 was launched as OPPO F1 Plus in few Asian countries including India. While there is no information about the specifications of the X7 Plus, the company has revealed few details about the X7. The Vivo X7 will be powered by 64-bit Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz.
It also features 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. With the included MicroSD card, the storage can be further expandable upto another 128GB. The side-by-side multitasking that was first introduced with Vivo X6 and X6 Plus will also be featured on the Vivo X7 and X7 Plus. Earlier this month, another Chinese smartphone brand, Meitu launched the Meitu M6 and the V4S with a 21MP selfie cameras. The Meitu V4S is the successor for the Meitu V4 that was launched in 2015.
With the increasing Selfie Phenomenon, most of the manufacturers are coming up with advanced front cameras. Even there are 60+ deaths reported worldwide due to selfie obsession. HTC launched its latest flagship HTC 10 with a 5MP Autofocus front camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS).
