Xiaomi Mi Max with 2GB RAM & 16GB Storage Spotted, Budget Edition Probably
The Chinese smartphone manufacturing giant Xiaomi had launched the Mi Max Phone last month in China. It sports a massive 6.44-inch display, and it is available in 3GB and 4GB RAM variants with 32GB/64GB and a 128GB storage options respectively. Now a new leak shows a lighter version of the smartphone which sports a 2GB of RAM. This version seems to have a 16GB of onboard storage compared to the higher storage options of the existing models in the market.
As of now the cheapest version of the smartphone is the one with 3GB of RAM. It will be interesting to see what configuration the new leaked smartphone is going to feature. Currently, the existing version comes with a Snapdragon 650 Hexa-core Processor running at 1.8 GHz tops. Looking at the screenshot, it looks like the leaked version is set to feature the same processor coupled with a 2GB of RAM. It will come with a smaller 16GB storage option as mentioned earlier. It appears to be running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with MIUI 7.3 version.
Other specifications will include a microSD card expansion (hybrid) and the same massive display which is the selling point of the smartphone. This leaked Mi Max 2GB model is not listed on the company’s official website for sale yet. Either it could be released later, or it may never release as many devices are benchmarked, but not all of them are released. Like other smartphones from the company, first it will be released in China, then later it will be ported to other countries.
The company is also set to launch the smartphone in the Indian market on June 30th. Maybe be this device with less RAM and smaller storage option could be launched here, as the company is known for making a lot of sales of affordable mid-ranged smartphones across the country. This device will be priced at a lesser price than that of the existing variant, considering the specification. However, this is just a leaked speculation, and we have no official confirmation on this yet. Stay tuned for more information on the smartphone and details regarding its release.
