Alcatel Pop Mirage Smartphone announced with Cyanogen 13.1 & 2500mAh Battery
Alcatel Pop Mirage is a new addition to the Pop series from Alcatel that will come with Android Cyanogen 13.1. Alcatel has also launched Idol 4S with VR support and Windows 10 Operating system for $470 and went on sale via T-Mobile. The device is an entry level handset that will be sporting basic specifications. Recently Alcatel has released devices like Alcatel Lume, Alcatel Pixi Unite, Alcatel Pixi 4 Plus Power, Alcatel V Shine Lite and few other devices.
The Alcatel Pop Mirage will come with a 5.5-inch HD IPS display with the Oleophobic coating. Under the hood, there is a Quad-core MSM8909 processor with a clocking speed of 1.3GHz coupled with 1.5GB of RAM and Adreno 304 GPU. The onboard memory on the device is 16GB, which can be extended upto a maximum of 32GB via microSD card.
The device will be available in Gold, Grey, and Silver color variants and comes out of the box with Android Marshmallow 6.0 with Cyanogen OS v13.1. There is an 8MP camera on the rear with LED flash and has features like, Geotagging, HDR, Autofocus, and panorama. The company also pushed a 5MP camera on the front for video calling with front flash.
The Pop Mirage supports 4G LTE connectivity and also has other connectivity options like Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, GPS, A-GPS and Micro USB 2.0. On the back, there is a Li-Ion 2500 mAh battery and is a dual-SIM variant that comes with dual standby. There are standard sensors on the device that are required for automation.
Moreover, the handset is IP68 certified for dust proof and water resistant over 1 meter and 30 minutes. The devices measure 151 mm x 77 mm x 7.99 mm and weights 156 grams. The Pop Mirage will compete against the devices like Xiaomi Note 3, Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime, Swipe Elite Plus, Lenovo Vibe K5, Asus Zenfone 2 Laser, Honor 4X and few other.
