You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.

This year, Samsung has launched the Galaxy J3 2016 and Galaxy J3 Pro smartphones under the affordable Galaxy J series. Last month, we posted about the FCC certification of a new smartphone with the model number SM-J327P. Later the GeekBench listing revealed a couple of key specifications of the device which is expected to be the Galaxy J3 2o17. Now, Evan Blass has posted an image of the Galaxy J3 2017 which almost looks similar to its predecessors, Galaxy J3 2016 and Galaxy J3 Pro. The front camera which is placed on the right side of the earpiece on Galaxy J3 2016 / J3 Pro is now shifted to the other side on the new device.

The new Galaxy J3 2017 also misses the beveled corners which can be spotted on its predecessors. As the date on the device is December 1st, we can expect this device to be launched in the next month itself. The power button is placed on the right edge of the device while the volume rocker is on the left edge. The back and multitasking capacitive buttons sit on the right and left sides of the physical home button. While the fingerprint sensor is introduced in the Galaxy A series with the Galaxy A5 (2016) and Galaxy A7 (2016), we may see the fingerprint sensor in the J series with the Galaxy J5 2017 & J7 2017 devices.

Coming to the specifications part, it runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box with TouchWiz UI laid on top. Under the hood is the 64-bit Snapdragon 430 MSM8937 octa-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz. It comes with Adreno 505 GPU and supports Cat.4 LTE offering upto 150 Mbps download speeds. Just like the Galaxy J3 Pro, the Galaxy J7 2017 also comes with 1.5GB of RAM. Though there is no information about the storage, we can expect the device to include 16GB of internal storage along with a MicroSD card support.
