Vivo X9 & X9 Plus Smartphones Teased with 20MP + 8MP Dual Front Cameras

Vivo will be launching its X9 & X9 Plus smartphones on November 17th in China. While Huawei will be unveiling the Mate 9 and Maye 9 Pro smartphones in Germany on November 3rd. The earlier leaks already suggested the devices to come with dual front cameras, and today the company has officially confirmed the news. There will be a whopping 20MP primary sensor along with an 8MP secondary sensor on the front just for selfies. On  the other hand, the Mate 9 & Mate 9 Pro will sport 20MP + 12MP sensor on the rear. Huawei is once again working in partnership with Leica to provide best dual camera experience.

While OPPO has seen a huge popularity with the 16MP selfie cameras on the smartphones like OPPO R9, R9S, F1 Plus, and F1S; Now Vivo will be tapping the similar audience with even better offerings. If you are feeling WOW about the Vivo X9 & X9 Plus, there is another smartphone from China called Meitu M6. Unlike the X9 devices, there are no dual front cameras, but sports 21MP cameras on front and back of the device. Coming to the Vivo smartphones, they will sport an all metal body with curved antenna band design that looks similar to iPhone 7 & iPhone 7 Plus.

Both the X9 and X9 Plus might come with a similar design but in different screen sizes. The oval shaped physical home button on the front comes integrated with the fingerprint sensor.  As seen with the recently launched Chinese smartphones, both of the devices might authorize mobile payments via AliPay and WeChat. While the Vivo XPlay 5 Elite is the world’s first smartphone to feature 6GB of RAM, now one variant of the X9 Plus is also said to come with the same 6GB of RAM. The Vivo X9 & X9 Plus might feature 5.5-inch & 6-inch displays respectively with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution.

Along with these new devices, the company might also announce the all new FunTouch OS 3.0 based on Android. The device will be powered by Snapdragon processors and will be on sale with different storage options. If the rumors are to be believed, the standard MicroUSB 2.0 port will be now replaced with USB Type-C Port.
