iOS 10 gives Users upto 8GB Additional Internal Storage after Upgrade

Apple had announced iOS 10 earlier this week at the WWDC event held in San Francisco. The iOS 10 beta is already available to download for developers for testing their app compatibility with the OS. This new version is compatible with a variety of different Apple devices. Here is the complete list of devices that are compatible with the new iOS 10 Beta. Do make a note that it is a Beta release and will have bugs that might cause issues during usage.

There are a variety of new features in this new version and is expected to make more refinements to the existing software. But interestingly, there are reports by various users stating that the total available storage capacity has increased. A Reddit user posted a screenshot of the same. According to the user, the total storage capacity increased from 113 GB to 121 GB on the 128 GB variant on his iPhone 6s. This is a significant increase of about 8 GB, which is a great news. Apple didn’t mention anything about this on the keynote.

It wasn’t clear until other users also responded to the thread. Many have also reported that other smaller storage capacity variants also got the extra space. The 64 GB variant now shows 58.82 GB available, and the 16 GB variant have gone up from 12.6 GB to 13.1 GB. Even though it’s very less for the 16 GB variant, but it will help to store many photos and a couple of apps. This is a step in right direction for the company as more storage availability is always a good thing.
