LG G5 Speed with Three-Band Aggregation Launched in Taiwan.
LG launched a new variant of LG G5 with the model number LG-H858 in Taiwan. The device is called as LG G5 Speed and comes with the same specifications as LG G5 but additionally supports three-band aggregation instead of two-band. Though not all the carriers support three-band aggregation, its offers faster 4G data speeds upto 300Mbps. It will be available in Gold, Pink, and Black color options. The device runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box with LG UX 5.0 UI laid on top.
It comes with the same 5.3-inch Quad HD (2560 x 1400 pixels) display with a pixel density of 554 ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. Under the hood is the Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor clocked at 2.15GHz and coupled with Adreno 530 GPU and 4GB of RAM. It comes with 32GB of internal storage and can be expanded upto 2TB via MicroSD card slot. The LG G5 comes with several modular accessories called as Friends. It supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G LTE on only one SIM.
On the back of the device, we can find dual rear cameras with 16MP + 8MP sensors that can capture images with a 135-degree wide view. For selfies, it packs an 8MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture. It is backed by a 2,800mAh removable battery that can last upto 240 hours on standby. The power button placed on the rear is also equipped with a fingerprint sensor for making it more secure. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, GPS/A-GPS, OTG, and a USB Type-C port.
Last week, the company also launched the LG G5 in India at a price of Rs. 52,990 and is available online exclusively through Flipkart. The device comes in Gold, Silver, and Titan color options. Along with the LG G5 purchase, the company is also offering an LG Cam Module worth 6,500 for free. As of there is information about the pricing of the other friends.
