Meizu to Launch M3 Metal as M3S with 3000mAh Battery on June 13th
Update – Meizu had already sent out the media invites to launch a new smartphone on June 13th. There are few rumors suggesting the company to launch the Meizu M3 Metal as the successor for Meizu Metal that was launched in October last year. According to the latest leaks, the device might be launched as the Meizu M3S instead of the Metal tag in the end. The device is already listed on TENAA and comes with similar specifications as Meizu M3 but features an al metal body. While the Meizu M3 came with YunOS, the upcoming Meizu M3S runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based Flyme OS.
Earlier: May 24, 2016 – Meizu is all set to launch its flagship Meizu MX6 smartphone at an event scheduled on June 20th in China. The company is also in works of a high-end smartphone with dual curved edges and will be powered by Samsung Exynos 8890 chipset. Now, the recent leaks suggest that the company will also unveil a new budget smartphone called as Meizu M3 Metal in China. The device is the metal variant of the company latest affordable offering Meizu M3.
As per TENAA listing, the Meizu M3 Metal features a 5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) display and comes equipped with MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz. The smartphone will feature a hybrid sim slot with the dual sim dual standby support that can also be used as a microSD card slot instead of the second sim. The device will have 2GB/3GB of RAM, 16GB/32GB of onboard storage and also includes a microSD card slot for further expansion upto 128GB.
As said earlier, the device will come running on Android 5.1 Lollipop based Flyme OS laid on top. The smartphone will sport a 13MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera for video chats and selfie lovers. Both the cameras are capable of recording videos in 1080p resolution. The device will come backed by a 3000mAh battery that will easily take you through the day of mixed usage.
The Meizu M3 Metal is expected to be unveiled on June 13th a week ahead of the launch of the Meizu MX6. Though the company has confirmed none of the above details, we advise you to take this with a pinch of salt. Stay tuned for more updates in coming days!
