Nubia to Launch Z11 mini, Z9 mini & Z9 Max in Latin America & Europe

At the CES 2016, Nubia announced the new domain “nubia.com” for making their devices available in all parts of the world. In January 2016, the company announced to enter the Latin America by launching their devices in Argentina and Mexico along with few European countries. Today the company has announced their expansion plans for the earlier mentioned markets. The recently launched Nubia Z11 Mini along with last years Nubia Z9 Mini and Z9 Max will be included in the first set of device that will be made available.

Interestingly, the recently launched Nubia Z11 Max and the upcoming Nubia Z11 aren’t included in the list. Mai Donghai, Senior VP and Co-founder of Nubia brand said, “Nubia has had success in China for the past three years, and now we are setting our sights on new international markets for expansion. We are excited for more consumers to experience nubia’s leading-edge mobile devices.” Starting from 2015, many Chinese manufacturers are looking for global expansion since the smartphone penetration in their home country is slowed down.

Many of these brands have chosen India as their main market outside of China and are also gaining popularity as the market share of the Indian homegrown brands are decreasing quarter by quarter. Even Micromax is said to enter the Chinese market after their successful expansion to Russia. Nubia devices are already available in Russia, Germany, and Spain; and from now on the company announced to be aggressive by launching their newly flagship models.  It will also enter the other European markets like France, Italy, Poland, and Turkey.

Coming to the Asian markets, the Nubia devices are sold in India, but it seems that the company hasn’t focused majorly on the world’s second largest smartphone market, India. In the coming months, the company also mentioned to come up with a clear roadmap for boosting their market share in India, Indonesia, Philippines and Southeast Asian countries. While Huawei announced Lionel Messi as their global brand ambassador, Cristiano Ronaldo is appointed as the Nubia’s brand ambassador. Last week, Forbes announced Ronaldo as the highest paid athlete in the world and is followed by Messi in the second spot.
