EE launches Robin 4G Kids Tablet with Parental Controls & Pre-loaded Games
Gone are the days of kids playing with small toys anymore. As the technology and innovation are moving ahead at a rapid pace, we now have dedicated products for kids as well. And this is not the first one that we are seeing and certainly is not going to be the last either. However, this new one is worth taking a look at. EE has announced the next-generation Robin tablet for kids and it is now available to purchase as well. Well, let’s take a look at what it has to offer us.
We don’t really need to focus much on the hardware inside. However, it is worth noting that this tablet comes with a quad-core processor which is powering the device. It also packs 2GB of RAM along with 16GB of internal storage. Don’t worry; the storage is expandable via a microSD card upto 32GB for extra added space. The tablet has a 7-inch display on the front and also sports a 2MP front facing camera as well. This new Robin tablet has 4G connectivity and is enclosed in a rugged bumper case to protect the tablet from drops and bumps. This is a must have since this will be handled by kids.

Well, since it is made for kids, let’s see what are we going to get here. The new Robin tablet has singleplayer and multiplayer motion gaming and an improved Hopster entertainment and learning app. EE ships this device with over 40 games that are pre-installed for you to use along with other educational apps and e-books. Few of the newer games like Subway Surfer and Motion Sports which uses the integrated camera comes pre-installed. These games which use the integrated camera allow kids to play with motion gestures.
Well, if you think that the apps and the games that it comes pre-installed with are not enough, then you need not worry since the tablet can download games and apps via the Google Play store. But again, since it is kids tablet, you will need parents permission to install the new apps or games. And besides that, it also comes with free access to Hopster, a playroom app for kids under six. It comes with episodes of kids shows, learning games, and songs, etc. Well, if you are a parent, then you also need not worry, since the controls are easy to use and manage to keep kids away from unwanted contents.
Now talking about the pricing and availability of the tablet, it will launch today in the UK and be purchased on a range of plans starting at £17 monthly. The £22 monthly gets 20GB of data with roaming and 24 months of free Hopster. The Robin tablet will cost you £129.99 on Pay as you go and has free Hopster for three months. For this price, it is not bad at all, and you can definitely go for it if you are a parent and want a tablet which can provide their children with hours of entertainment and e-learning in a protected online environment. Stay tuned for more info like this.
