HTC 10 to receive Android 7.0 Nougat update before the end of December

As mentioned earlier by HTC about the Android 7.0 Nougat update to its flagship device by the fourth quarter of 2017, we might now expect the update is rolling out very soon. Few leaks from LlabTooFeR who has tweeted out some series of screenshots of the upcoming Nougat built running on the HTC 10 and also mentioned that it is stable.

This is the time of the year where all the smartphone makers will be working on the new Android version and push it to their supported handsets. The leaksters Twitter account also reveals that a Nougat ROM is being tested for the HTC One A9 and One M9. It is expected that the new update will bring many new features and also fixes if there are any bugs in the older version of Android.

Recently we heard rumors about the upcoming Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer which was posted on Weibo. This flagship device is said to feature a 5.5-inch curved display Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution. It could be powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 830 processor. In the camera department, there will be a 12MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera same as HTC 10 which also came with a 12MP, so we can assume the HTC 11 to come with improved sensor along with other upgrades.

Coming to the specifications of the HTC 10, it will be featuring a 5.2-inch Super LCD 5 display with Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution and a pixel density of 564ppi. There is a 2.2GHz Snapdragon 820 processor coupled with Adreno 530 GPU and 4GB of RAM. It runs on the latest Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with the latest Sense UI 8.0 laid on top. The device also comes with a metallic body like most of its predecessors.

To power the handset there is a non-removable 3,000mAh battery that is rated to deliver 21 hours of talk time and lasts upto 21 days on standby mode. The device also supports Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 that charge 0% to 50% in just 30 minutes Moreover, there is a 12MP rear camera with dual tone LED flash, laser autofocus and optical image stabilization (OIS) accompanied with 5MP camera on the front for video calling. There are the normal set of sensors that are required for automation of the device will all the required connectivity options.
