You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.

In September this year, LG has launched the new LG V20 smartphone as the successor to the last year’s LG V10. It is the world’s first smartphone to run on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. Until last year, Google Nexus smartphones used to be the first devices to run on the latest Android OS. LG also trademarked the ‘LG V20 S’ name in Europe where it is rumored to launch the LG V20 with few changes. The company also launched the LG V20 as LG V34 in Japan with a smaller 5.2-inch display and is also waterproof with IP67 certification.

Within two months after the launch of the LG V20, we already got some information about the next year’s LG V30. Though Evan Blass said to have the early renders of the device, he confirmed not to reveal them anytime soon. While it is too early to expect the complete details of the LG V30, the secondary display which sits on top of the normal display will be seeing some changes in the next year’s device. The LG V10 which is the first smartphone to launch under the new V series featured it for showing the notifications, adding app shortcuts, and custom text.

Now the ticker display feature is said to be skipped in the LG V30. One change we expect to see is the placement to be shifted from the top to the bottom of the display. It might even show the on-screen navigation buttons or else the fingerprint sensor can be hidden underneath it. The latest flagship Snapdragon processors come with Qualcomm ultrasonic fingerprint sensor technology. The recently launched Xiaomi Mi 5S smartphone in China used the same technology where the fingerprint sensor is placed behind the front panel.

Since the LG V30 will be launched only in the second half of 2017, we will be seeing more and more leaks in the coming months. Talking about the LG V20, it is yet to be launched internationally. The device is expected to launch this month in India priced at Rs. 49,990. But there is no official information about any upcoming launch events from LG in India. It sports an Aluminum body with removable battery option. On the front, we will be seeing a 5.7-inch IPS display with Quad HD (2460 x 1440 pixels) resolution and a 2.1-inch secondary display with 160 x 1040 pixels resolution.

Under the hood, the device runs on 2.15GHz Snapdragon 820 SoC coupled with Adreno 530 GPU. It includes 4GB of RAM and comes in 32GB and 64GB storage options with MicroSD card slot. On the rear, there is a 16MP + 8MP dual camera setup with laser autofocus, OIS, and LED flash. For selfies, it sports a 5MP front camera with f/1.9 aperture. It is also equipped fingerprint sensor and four dedicated DAC’s offering lossless playback. The device is kept powered on by a 3,200mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support.
