Videocon Graphite1 V45ED 4G & Challenger V40UE 3G Smartphones Launched in India
Videocon launched very low number of smartphones and their availability is also limited to certain parts of the country. Recently the company had launched the entry-level smartphones Graphite1 V45ED & Challenger V40UE priced at Rs. 4,999 & Rs. 3,799 respectively. While the Graphite1 V45ED supports 4G LTE connectivity, the Challenger V40UE is only limited to 3G HSPA. The LYF Flame 3, Flame 4, and Flame 6 priced at Rs. 3,999 comes with almost similar specifications and additionally includes 4G LTE support.
Talking about the Challenger V40UE, it sports a 4-inch WVGA (800 x 480 pixels) display. It is powered by Spreadtrum SC7731 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz along with 512MB of RAM. With such a low RAM, we can’t expect this device to provide seamless Android experience. It also includes 8GB of storage that can be further expandable upto 32GB. In the camera department, it features a 3.2MP rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3MP front camera. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop and comes with dual SIM dual standby support.
The device is backed by a 1,400mAh battery which is said to give 5 hours of talk time and lasts upto 3 days on standby. It measures 64.8 x 125.25 x 10.5 mm and comes in Grey, White, and Black color options. Compared to Challenger V40UE, the Graphite1 V45ED includes somewhat better specifications. The Graphite1 V45ED comes with a4.5-inch FWVGA (854 x 480 pixels) IPS display and includes 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6735M quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage.
It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box and will be available only in Space Grey color. The Graphite1 V45ED includes a 5MP rear camera and a 3.2 MP selfie camera on the front. Interestingly, both the cameras are assisted by LED flash for capturing images even in the low light conditions. With all these specifications, the 2000mAh battery on this device is said to give the same battery life as Challenger V40UE. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. Earlier this year the company also launched the Videocon Krypton 3 V50JG & Videocon Krypton 5 V50GH1 in the Indian market.
