Meizu M3 with 5″ HD Display & 13MP PDAF Camera Officially Launched

Earlier this month, Meizu had launched two new smartphones Meizu M3 Note and Pro 6 in China. Now the company has made the entry-level Meizu M3 official in its home country. The design of the device looks almost similar to Meizu M3 Note but features a polycarbonate body. The Meizu M3, the successor for the Meizu M2 that was launched last year in China and India.

It features a 5-inch display with HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution. It is powered by MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz along with Mali T860 GPU. The device comes in two variants with 2GB and 3GB of RAM and includes 16GB and 32GB of internal storage. There is also a MicroSD card slot for expanding additionally upto 128GB.

In the camera department, there is a 13MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and PDAF that can focus in just 0.2 seconds. For selfies, there is a 5MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture and fotonation 2.0 on the front. The device supports dual SIM with the help of hybrid SIM slot. It is backed by a 2,870mAh battery which is almost same as the Meizu Pro 6 battery.

The Meizu M3 runs on Flyme 5.1 powered by YunOS that is said to offer better battery optimizations. Connectivity options include 4G LTE with VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. It has the mBack home button, but we aren’t expecting the device to feature the mTouch fingerprint sensor. Like the Meizu M2, the M3 will also be available in several color options including White, Blue, Gray, Pink and Gold.

The device measures 141.5 x 69.5 x 8.3 mm and weighs around 132 grams. The 2GB RAM variant is priced at 599 Yuan while the 3GB variant is priced at 799 Yuan.
