HTC Desire 828 with 3GB RAM & 32GB Storage Officially Launched in India
Update: April 14, 2015 – Almost six months after launching the Desire 828 smartphone in India, HTC has announced the same device with few upgraded specification. The 2GB RAM is bumped to 3GB and the internal storage is doubled upto 32GB. The users can further expand the storage to 2TB with the provided MicroSD card slot. Apart from the above mentioned two changes, rest of the specifications remains same on the both the variants.
The Desire 828 is also the first smartphone in the Desire series to feature Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). While the 2GB variant of Desire 828 is currently retailing around Rs. 18,000; the 3GB variant is priced at Rs. 19,990. The device comes with dual SIM option with 4G LTE support on both the SIM’s.
Earlier: Nov 25, 2015 – In October 2015, we had exclusively reported about a new Desire smartphone dubbed as Desire 828 from HTC. It was later unveiled in China and today the company had officially launched the device in India along with the high-end One A9. The Desire 828 is also first ever smartphone in the Desire series to sport Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) camera.
The device will be available in both single SIM and dual SIM variants. It comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD display and is powered by MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor. It has a 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage along with a MicroSD card slot for storage expansion up to 2TB.
Talking about the camera, it has a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and Optical Image Stabilization and a 5MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and super wide angle lens. The device comes with dual HTC’s BoomSound speakers placed on the front of the device. Unlike the One A9, this device comes with Android 5.1 Lollipop based HTC Sense UI.
The design of the device is totally different from the recently launched Desire smartphone; it has round edges with a diamond-shaped metallic frame around the device. It includes dual front-facing BoomSound speakers along with Dolby Audio support. The pricing and the availability of the device are still unknown, but it is expected to be made available in the next couple of weeks.
