HTC Merges A9 & M9, to give Birth to the S9 Smartphone in Germany
HTC One S9 is the latest smartphone from HTC after launching its flagship HTC 10. Though there is no official announcement, the device along with complete specifications is listed on the company’s German website. The rear of the device looks similar to 2015 launched One M9 while from the front its resembles the One A9 but without the physical home button. It comes with an all metal body and the curved back offers nice grip to hold on to the device.
The device features a 5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) Super LCD display along with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by the Helio X10 processor clocked at 2GHz. There is only 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage that can be expanded upto 2TB via provided MicroSD card slot. The One S9 includes BoomSound speakers with Doly Audio that offers rich sound experience. The two microphones present on the device takes care of the noise cancellation.
It sports a 13MP primary camera with f/2.0 aperture, OIS, and dual tone LED flash. On the front, is a 2MP Ultra Pixel front camera with the same f/2.0 aperture that can record videos in 1080p resolution at 30fps. The One S9 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box with Sense UI overlaid. It is backed by a 2,840mAh battery that is rated to deliver 13 hours of talk time and lasts upto 658 hours on standby mode. The device supports single SIM and offers Cat 4 LTE.
Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, GPS/GLONASS, NFC, Bluetooth, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. It measures 144.6 x 69.7 x 10.09 mm and weighs 158 gram.
