Ringing Bells May Ship 30,000 Freedom 251 Smartphones in May – Report
There is nothing concrete about this controversial company, which would have proved that the customers who paid for their Freedom 251 Smartphone would be getting it for sure. We have seen complaints lodged against the Ringing Bells, being raided by Income Tax department and a lot of controversies for the past couple of months since they first announced their device with a crazy price tag of Rs 251.
But now some reports popping up on internet quotes that company is promising to ship 30,000 units of the Freedom 251 handsets in the month of May. These would be the lucky customers who would be getting their handsets delivered soon. While for the rest of those who registered for the device, but didn’t receive single mail from the company regarding the payment option. Well, they would have to wait.
Though, it’s hard to be optimistic about this promise whether it would be fulfilled or go to waste as did earlier ones. To jog up your memory, the brand hasn’t even shipped their first handset, the Smart 101, which was supposed to be the cheapest 4G handset priced at Rs 2,999. So, it is highly likely that this promised won’t be fulfilled either. This time, the government has pledged to take an action against the brand if they failed to deliver the 30,000 units as promised.
Post FIR filed by BJP leader Kirit Somaiya, which was declared as premature by the court, there has been a media silence about this company. Currently, the official website of Freedom 251 Smartphone states that the Ringing Bells is in the process of compiling the emails and then they will be sending it to the first 25 Lacs registrations very soon.
We just hope that citizens in our country have learned from the Freedom 251 fiasco that they won’t fall for another one, which has been in the limelight since yesterday morning. We exclusively reported that a Jaipur based Docoss Multimedia Private Limited has started taking booking for their Docoss X1 Smartphone, which is priced at Rs 888. Looks like in the coming days we would see a lot of handsets in this newly introduced sub Rs 1000 category.
